Termites

T&B Termite Service from MotionRES Media on Vimeo.

See our RATES PAGE for a full breakdown of T&B Termite Services!
Our subterranean termite treatments include both indoor contact killer repellant, and outdoor power spray Termidor application (which is a non-repellant).

Non-repellants are taken back to the colony and spread throughout the population.
FORMOSAN TERMITES

These termites, originating from China, are best known for their large size, colony and ability to consume large amounts of wood.

Formosan termites are 14 to 15 millimeters long and are pale to brownish yellow. Damage to wood is done in layers and soil is present. They often nest above ground as well as infesting homes, trees and landscape timbers.

Chemical treatments and in-ground baiting systems, as well as direct wood treatments are typical control methods.
Other Wood-Destroying Organisms (WDOs)

Powder post beetles, and wood decaying fungus can be found in crawl spaces, wood frames and joists, as well as basements. We treat the area, and then keep moisture out by laying down plastic barriers.

NATIVE EASTERN SUBTERRANEAN TERMITES

These are the most common termites in North America. They are 10 millimeters in length, with dark brownish-black bodies. Colonies are most often located in the ground. They can eat up to five grams of spring wood per day. Chemical treatments and baiting systems work best to eliminate termites.
